SATURDAY AUG 24 | SLOW RIDE 8-10 PM

AFTER PARTY 9-MIDNIGHT | NO RAIN DATE

On Saturday, August 24th, Red Bird Sylvania, Yark Nissan and Toledo Memorial Park will present Ridin’ Late in County 48, a 9-mile family friendly slow bicycle ride under the beautiful night sky of Northwest Ohio. This carefully planned route is designed to highlight parks, neighborhoods and their connections to each other.  Brightz-ltd will be providing their revolutionary new bike lights to ALL RIDERS to create a colorful spectacle along the route. We want you to feel thrilled and excited about being part of something bigger than yourself as hundreds of lighted bicycles circle Olander Lake. We want you to feel the excitement in the community on the ride and then connect even further at the after party in downtown Sylvania.

This 7th annual event will take place at 8:00 PM and riders will be provided a fully supported ride route with police escort. Then join us for a casual affair under the stars for snacks, cold drinks and craft beer

$25 per person, 2024 Ridin' Late shirt included

Over 800 riders joined us at Ridin' Late in County 48 in 2023. In past years, Ridin' Late has donated proceeds to Safe Kids Greater Toledo, where funds were allocated for bike safety equipment. Proceeds have also been dedicated to cycling projects throughout Sylvania, such as a Fixit Station in front of the Sylvania Library and a bike rack for Main Street. This year proceeds will be used for portable bike racks for Ridin’ Late aa well as for any other downtown Sylvania events.

Curious what a night of Ridin' Late is like?

Brightz is back for 2024

We've partnered again this year with Brightz, Ltd, a local company that specializes in battery-powered LED light accessories for bicycles. Brightz will be providing their revolutionary bike lights to the first 400 riders to create a colorful spectacle along the route. Brightz lights will fit any bike, require no alterations or special fittings, and can be installed on the fly the night of the ride. Brightz lights are considered an accessory and all bicycles will still be required to have headlights and tail lights.

This Accident Waiver and Release of Liability is a contract with legal and binding consequences and it applies to all activities entered at the event. I have read it carefully before signing, and I understand what it means and what I am agreeing to by signing.

I acknowledge that cycling is an inherently dangerous sport and fully realize the dangers of participating in this event, whether as a rider, official, volunteer or otherwise, and fully assume the risks associated with such participation including, by way of example, and not limitation: dangers associated with natural jumps; the dangers of collision with pedestrians, vehicles, other riders, and fixed or moving objects; the dangers arising from surface hazards, including pot holes, equipment failure, inadequate safety equipment, use of equipment or materials provided by the event organizer and others, the Releasees’ own negligence, the negligence of others and weather conditions; and the possibility of serious physical and/or mental trauma or injury, or death associated with the event. For myself, and for my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, assignees, and successors in interest, I hereby waive, release, discharge, hold harmless, and promise to indemnify and not to sue the Releasees and, public entities, special districts and properties that are in any manner connected with this event, and their respective agents, officials, and employees through which the event will be held, (the foregoing are also collectively deemed to be Releasees), from any and all rights and claims including claims arising from the Releasees’ own negligence, which I have or which may hereafter accrue to me and from any and all damages which may be sustained by me directly or indirectly in connections with, or arising out of, this event. I agree it is my sole responsibility to be familiar with the event course and agenda, the Releasees’ rules, and any special regulations for the event and agree to comply with all such rules and regulations. I understand and agree that situations may arise during the event which may be beyond the control of the Releasees. I accept responsibility for the condition and adequacy of my equipment, any equipment provided for my use, and my conduct in connection with this event. I agree, for myself and my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, assignees and successors in interest, that the above representation are contractually binding, and are not mere recitals, and that should I or my heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, assignees and successors in interest assert a claim contrary to what I have agreed to in this contract, the claiming party shall be liable for the expenses (including legal fees) incurred by the Releasees in defending the claims. This contract may not be modified orally, and a waiver or modification of any provision shall not be construed as a waiver or modification of any other provision herein or as a consent to any subsequent waiver or modification.

I hereby certify that I have read this document, and I understand its content.

I am the parent or guardian of ______________________(Child). My Child is fit for the event, and I consent to my Child’s participation. I have read and I understand the above contract. In consideration of allowing my Child to participate, I consent to the contract and agree that its terms shall likewise bind me, my Child, and our heirs, executors, administrators, legal representatives, assignees and successors in interest. I hereby release and shall defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from every claim and liability that I or my Child may allege against the Releasees (including reasonable legal fees and costs) as a direct or indirect result of injury or death to me or my Child because of my Child’s participation in the event, whether caused by the negligence of the Releasees or others.
